Russia struck a foreign civilian vessel in the Odesa region, killing three crew members and wounding five others, Vice Prime Minister for Restoration - Minister of Communities and Territories Development Oleksii Kuleba reported on social media on Monday, according to UNN.

"This is another Russian strike on civilian shipping and port infrastructure of Ukraine. Such attacks threaten the safety of international shipping, the stability of global trade, and the world's food security," the Vice Prime Minister stated.
Head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration Oleh Kiper confirmed that "as a result of the enemy shelling of the Odesa region, port infrastructure was damaged. A fire broke out on a moored commercial vessel flying the flag of the Republic of Togo, which was transporting mineral fertilizers."
The Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority (USPA) also confirmed and specified that "port infrastructure facilities and other civilian objects on port territories were also damaged." "Over the past few days, Russian terror has already claimed six lives. These are port industry workers, drivers, and sailors who were doing their jobs and had no connection to hostilities," the USPA stated.
Kiper also reported that "the number of injured as a result of the morning enemy attack on Odesa has increased to 5." Among the injured is a five-year-old child, to whom medics provided necessary assistance without hospitalization.
