The number of combat engagements in the frontline has increased to 87. The situation is the hottest at the Kurakhove and Pokrovske directions, UNN reports, citing the General Staff's report as of 16:00.
In the Kharkiv sector, the enemy made three attempts to storm the positions of our units near Vovchansk. He carried out air strikes on Kozachya Lopan, dropping five UAVs.
In the Kupyansk sector, Russian occupants attacked the Ukrainian Defense Forces seven times in the areas of Kruhliakivka and Lozove. Two firefights are still ongoing. Ukrainian soldiers are steadfastly holding the line and inflicting losses on the enemy.
In the Liman sector, the invading army made two attacks on Ukrainian positions near Novolyubivka and Bilohorivka during the day. One firefight ended, the other is ongoing.
In the Toretsk sector, the enemy tried to break into our defense in the Toretsk area with the support of aviation. Kostyantynivka came under attack from the KABs.
In the Pokrovsk sector, Russian invaders, supported by air power, made 17 attempts to push our defenders from their positions in the areas of Myroliubivka, Promen, Lysivka, Petrivka, Pustynka and Novooleksiyivka. The defense forces are holding back the onslaught and repelled ten enemy attacks, seven combat engagements are still ongoing.
In the Kurakhove direction, the enemy army attacked 23 times near the settlements of Berestky, Sontsivka, Voznesenka, Dalne, Yelizavetivka, Katerynivka and Antonivka. Six attempts by the occupiers to advance have already been repelled. The enemy bombarded Romanivka and Dachne with KABs.
In the Vremivsk sector, 12 hostile attacks took place near Trudove, Rozdolne, Makarivka, Rivne and Novodarivka. Seven combat engagements are ongoing.
The enemy unsuccessfully attacked our defenders six times in the Prydniprovskyi sector.
The General Staff added that the operation in the Kursk region is ongoing. Since the beginning of the day, Russian aircraft have carried out 15 strikes (21 missiles) on their own territory.
"Ukrainian soldiers repelled ten enemy attacks today, the fighting continues," the report says.
