The rock band 222, consisting of artists, implemented the project Room 222, in which the participants combined their artistic works with rock songs performed by themselves. UNN visited this unusual art event.

The project is based on the story of artist friends who founded the music band 222 in 2022. The name of the band, and later the art project, was given by the number of the room where the artists kept their musical instruments.
The band members are Anton Logov, Andriy Dudchenko, Yuriy Denysenkov, Andriy Yakovenko, and Yevhen Piskunov. At concerts and rehearsals, they are also occasionally joined by Oleksandr Liapin, Nikita Naslimov, and Flora Gatsenko.
The Room 222 project is not about a place in its physical sense, but about a space of unity and creative search. The artists create music, write poetry, and think over ideas for their other works, which include not only painting but also installations and scenography.

The project is dedicated to the Ukrainian artist Anton Yakovenko, who gave his life at the front on February 26, 2024, defending his homeland.
In sporadic phone conversations with his brother Andriy and other members of the 222 band, he did not want to talk about what it was like at the front, but wanted to know that the others were living their lives to the fullest. "It's a rockin' time, guys!" Anton said.
Anton's brother painted his portrait, which is presented at the exhibition. While visiting the project, you can join the charity and donate to the military family.
In total, the exhibition presents more than 200 works in various styles of visual art by eight authors. The head of the creative idea is Ihor Ambromovych, curated by Anton Logov and Andriy Sydorenko.
Another feature of the project is that the artists presented works from different periods of their career: one of the works was created just two weeks before the exhibition opened, and the oldest one was created by one of the artists 18 years ago.
Every Ukrainian can see and hear the artists' work. The project will run until May 2024.
