According to the newspaper, Cholak's government received 240 votes in favor, with the minimum required 233. Thus, the coalition controls about 54% of the seats in the legislature.
Earlier, three pro-European parties, the Social Democrats of Csolak, the center-right Liberals, and the ethnic Hungarian party UDMR, agreed on the details of a coalition that secured them a parliamentary majority.
It is also known that the new government will have 16 ministers. At the same time, the Social Democratic Party will have eight portfolios, and most of its current ministers will remain in their positions.
Angel Tilvar retained the post of defense minister, and Emil Hurezianu, a former journalist, writer, and diplomat, became foreign minister.
