Starting April 1, minimum wages and pensions will increase in Ukraine, payments to children of fallen Ukrainian defenders will increase, the cost of issuing a foreign passport will rise, and the number of vacant civil servants will be reduced by more than 19,000, UNN reports .
Salaries, pensions, and other benefits
Starting April 1, the minimum wage in Ukraine will increase by UAH 900 and will now amount to UAH eight thousand.
Accordingly, the amount of pensions for non-working pensioners who have reached the age of 65 and have a full insurance period will also increase - from April 1, the minimum pension payment for them will be UAH 3,200.

In addition, the cost of purchasing insurance experience for retirement will also increase - due to the increase in the minimum wage, this amount will now be UAH 1,760 per month.
The minimum unemployment benefit for those who were employed at the time of dismissal will increase to UAH 4,000.
At the same time, the monthly salary for temporarily unemployed persons who will participate in public works will increase to UAH 12,000.
The compensation for employers for hiring combatants or internally displaced persons will increase to UAH 8 thousand per month (paid during the year for each odd month).
Also, starting April 1, payments to children of fallen defenders of Ukraine will increase - the amount of payment per child will automatically increase from UAH 2,361 to UAH 7,800 and to UAH 6,100 for each minor if the family has two or more children.
Foreign passport will become more expensive
Starting April 1, the price of issuing a passport will rise: a regular passport will cost UAH 958, and if you have to go through an expedited procedure, you will have to pay UAH 1598.
Will there be fewer officials?
The government has decided to cut 19.3 thousand vacant staff positions in the system of state executive authorities. At least this decision was announced in mid-March by Deputy Minister of Finance Roman Yermolychev.
Humanitarian aid - paper declarations are finally canceled
Starting April 1, the registration of humanitarian aid imports to Ukraine will be carried out exclusively online.
In order to bring humanitarian aid to Ukraine and report on its receipt and distribution, it is necessary to report on its receipt and distribution:
- confirm your status in the Register of Humanitarian Aid Recipients, fill in the cargo data and declaration in the system;
- Receive a unique humanitarian aid code, generate a Declaration in the system;
- Provide this code during customs clearance at the border;
- Distribute the cargo, submit an automatic report on the targeted use of humanitarian aid in the digital system.
