On the morning of June 7, an attic of a five-story residential building on Andrei Doga Street caught fire in Chisinau. According to preliminary data, the cause of the fire was a lightning strike during the rain. This was reported by the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations (GIES), UNN reports with reference to NewsMaker.

The fire report was received by the 112 service at 06:36. Several crews of rescuers and firefighters arrived at the scene.
GIES employees established that the fire had engulfed the attic of the building. By 07:01, firefighters managed to localize the blaze.
"Firefighters evacuated 10 adults and five children from the building. No one was injured as a result of the incident," the GIES reported.
According to preliminary data, the cause of the fire was a lightning strike.
Currently, rescuers continue to eliminate the consequences of the fire.
