"Graduates of higher education institutions who will continue their studies at the master's and postgraduate levels can register for entrance examinations starting today. Registration will last until May 14," Minister of Education and Science Oksen Lisovyi wrote on social media.

As noted by the Ministry of Education and Science, registration for participation in the most important exams for obtaining a master's, doctor of philosophy, or doctor of arts degree - EVI, EFVV, EVV - is open until May 14.

What is important for an applicant to know in 2026

What is important to know, the Ministry of Education and Science reported:

  • documents for participation in the exam can be submitted in person to the admissions committee of the higher education institution or remotely;
    • for admission to a master's program, up to 10 applications can be submitted, of which up to 5 are for state-funded places;
      • tests for admission to a master's program can be taken both in Ukraine and abroad (the number of places is limited);
        • the minimum competitive score for participation in the selection for state-funded master's programs is 130. To be admitted to the postgraduate competition, at least 300 points must be scored on the EVI;
          • admission to full-time postgraduate studies is possible only under state or regional orders.

            As Lisovyi pointed out, master's exams can be taken abroad, but only within the main session. Testing will last from the end of June to the end of July; an additional session in August will be available for those who, for valid reasons, could not take the main session.

            Detailed conditions, a list of documents, and a schedule are published on the website of the Ministry of Education and Science.
