Navy spokesman Dmytro Pletenchuk denied reports of the presence of the "ivan khurs" reconnaissance ship near Crimea, emphasizing that it was a minesweeper. He noted that russian reconnaissance ships are not currently at sea. He said this during a telethon, a correspondent of UNN reports.

Details

Pletenchuk denied the information that yesterday a reconnaissance ship "ivan khurs" was allegedly spotted off the coast of Crimea, near Sevastopol.

It was a minesweeper. It should be understood that it makes little sense for the russians to use such units of reconnaissance ships now

- Pletenchuk says.

According to him, there is no evidence that the equipment of the "ivan khurs" reconnaissance ship, which was damaged by the Ukrainian Navy, has been restored.

Such russian ships are stationed at landlocked sites. russia remains present in the Black Sea only in the form of submarines. Surface ships have not been at sea for a long time. As of now, there are no military units in the Black Sea

- Pletenchuk added.

Recall

On March 24, in addition to the large amphibious assault ships "yamal" and "azov", the Defense Forces successfully hit the reconnaissance ship "ivan khurs" and the large amphibious assault ship "konstantin olshansky".
