Schedules of hourly power outages are in effect in Ukraine until 17:00 today, with a number of regional power companies announcing that they have canceled the outages for the time being. Meanwhile, the need to conserve electricity remains, and power engineers continue to restore energy facilities damaged by the Russian attack on December 25, according to Ukrenergo, UNN reports.
Consequences of shelling
The Ukrainian power grid, as indicated, continues to recover from thirteen massive Russian attacks since the beginning of this year. The need to conserve electricity remains.
"From 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. today, hourly outage schedules for household consumers and power limitation schedules for industry are being forced to be applied," the statement said.
Emergency repair and restoration works at power facilities continue. Power engineers are doing everything possible to restore the damaged equipment and replace the equipment destroyed by the enemy as soon as possible, the company said.
"The situation in the power system is changing, and accordingly, changes in the application of restrictive measures are possible," Ukrenergo noted.
Thus, a number of oblenergos announced the cancellation of schedules.
"On Friday, December 27, hourly power outage schedules will not be applied in Volyn region," Volynoblenergo reported.
"There is currently no information on the implementation of outage schedules," Lvivoblenergo said, and showed the schedules for today, according to which no outages are expected.
Chernivtsioblenergo reported no scheduled outages by the end of the day.
Mykolaivoblenergo also does not report outages according to the schedule until the end of the day.
