Police have launched an investigation into the possible use of a forged ID from a non-existent Zakarpattia Territorial Defense unit by lawyer Kostyantyn Globa, UNN reports, citing information published in the media.
Law enforcement officers became interested in Kostyantyn Globa's ID as a member of the Territorial Defense of the Verkhnokoropets village council in the Mukachevo district of Zakarpattia, as no such formation exists within the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
"In addition to the conflict with his ex-wife, who took his car, law enforcement officers also became interested in the use of forged documents regarding a non-existent Zakarpattia Territorial Defense unit. The police have already started an investigation into this fact," the article states.
Media outlets note that a separate proceeding has been opened regarding illegal draft deferment (reservation).
In parallel, Globa is actively commenting in the public sphere on the case of Andriy Yermak and expressing opinions regarding the lawyers in this process. It is precisely because of public insults and criticism of colleagues, as noted in the article, specifically lawyer Oleksandr Fomin, that the issue of revoking Globa's right to practice law may be raised in the near future.
Previously, Kostyantyn Globa, who is the lawyer for intelligence officer Roman Chervinsky, came under media scrutiny amid a conflict with his ex-wife, from whom he allegedly took a car.
