The Russian marketplace Ozon said that sellers whose goods were damaged or destroyed as a result of Ukrainian drone strikes on the company's warehouses will be able to receive payouts only if they have the relevant insurance coverage. The Moscow Times reported this, UNN writes.

The amount of the payouts will be determined after an inventory of the damaged warehouses, while instructions on receiving compensation are to be sent to sellers through their personal accounts.

According to Ozon, warehouses in Krasnodar and Makhachkala were damaged, with fires still burning there at the time of the report. The fires in Chapayevsk and Orenburg had already been extinguished, while the logistics centers in Adygea and Nevinnomyssk, according to the company, were not damaged and are expected to resume operations.
Among the measures to support sellers, Ozon also cited the free transportation of goods from closed facilities to other warehouses. Goods headed to the affected logistics centers will be redirected at the company's expense, while storage fees for products at the damaged sites will not be charged from the time of the incident.
According to The Moscow Times, the attacks on Ozon warehouses began on August 22. Over three days, drones attacked six of the company's facilities, and on August 24, Ozon shares on the Moscow Exchange fell 27% at one point—to 2,112.5 rubles per share—the lowest level since August 2023.
Since the beginning of the year, Ozon's market value has fallen by 47%, or approximately 376 billion rubles. Ozon is Russia's second-largest marketplace after Wildberries, whose warehouses have also been struck. According to The Moscow Times, since July 18, 12 large Wildberries logistics centers have been disabled or destroyed, while the reported damage from the attacks has approached 1 trillion rubles.
