The main reason for this growth was the increase in the number of graduates from previous years who decided to enter higher education institutions in Ukraine this year.

Over 85% of participants in the main NMT session will have the opportunity to enter higher education institutions.

Almost 15% of participants in the main NMT session did not pass the threshold in at least one academic subject (received less than 100 points on the 100–200 scale). For comparison, in previous years this figure was 13.51% (2025) and 14.38% (2024).

This year, these participants will not be able to take part in the competitive selection for higher education institutions, but will be able to choose education in vocational or professional pre-higher education institutions.

Traditionally, the majority of NMT participants are 17-year-old applicants.

People of various ages — from 15 to over 40 years old — take part in the testing.
