In the final of Paris 2024, the Ukrainian defeated the world champion from Kazakhstan by a split decision of the judges - 3:2.
This is Ukraine's third gold medal at the 2024 Olympics. It is also the first gold in Khyzhnyak's career, as he became the vice-champion at the 2020 Games.
