Ukrainian boxer Oleksandr Khyzhnyak won a gold medal in the 80 kg weight category at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris. In the final, he defeated the world champion from Kazakhstan with a score of 3:2.

Khyzhnyak became an Olympic boxing champion in the 80 kg category.

In the final of Paris 2024, the Ukrainian defeated the world champion from Kazakhstan by a split decision of the judges - 3:2.

This is Ukraine's third gold medal at the 2024 Olympics. It is also the first gold in Khyzhnyak's career, as he became the vice-champion at the 2020 Games.
