On December 20, a soldier with the call sign "Historian" of the 57th separate motorized infantry brigade named after the Kosh Ataman Kostya Gordienko reported that the Russian army's offensive continued to achieve tactical success in Vovchansk and its surroundings. Despite the complete destruction of the city along the Vovcha River, the enemy failed to achieve tactical success.
