New rules for Ukrainian refugees have come into effect in Ireland, starting March 14, new arrivals will be placed in public housing for only 90 days. The government has identified the first five reception centers. This was reported by The Journal, according to UNN.

It is noted that newly arrived refugees from Ukraine in Ireland will be accommodated only for 90 days in public housing, during which time they will receive reduced payments - 38.80 euros per adult and 28.90 euros per child per week.
It is noted that if a refugee moves out of public housing and rents it on his or her own, he or she can claim higher payments. Refugees who arrived earlier will continue to receive 220 euros per adult per week.
The government has announced new centers where newly arrived Ukrainian refugees will be housed for 90 days:
- Ballyogan Road, Dublin (capacity: 392);
- Stradbally, County Liish, (population: 950);
- Fernbank, Limerick (capacity: 250);
- Punchestown, County Kildare (population: 378);
- Center on Gerald Griffin Street, Cork (capacity: 107).
The Department of Integration noted that in these accommodation facilities people will be provided with food, laundry and other services. Support in these centers will focus on orientation to life and work in Ireland, options for independent housing search and integration support.

Since the start of the full-scale invasion, Ireland has spent over 750 million euros on social benefits for over 110,000 Ukrainian refugees. Most of the funds have been used for job search assistance and pensions for refugees over the age of 66.
