Netherlands discusses plans to provide air defense, artillery and defense support to Ukraine

The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine discussed with the Dutch delegation the priorities of military assistance for the next year, including the supply of air defense systems, artillery and other equipment.

Details

During a meeting with a delegation from the Dutch Ministry of Defense, representatives of the Ministry of Defense and the Armed Forces of Ukraine outlined the key needs of the Ukrainian army and defense industry for the coming year. The Ukrainian delegation thanked the Netherlands for providing F-16 aircraft, which have been successfully performing combat missions, including shooting down 12 enemy missiles during the latest massive attack.

General Oleksandr Klochko emphasized the importance of additional spare parts for these aircraft to increase their combat effectiveness.The Netherlands announced plans to provide military assistance to Ukraine for 2025, including air and missile defense, tanks, artillery and demining equipment.

They also discussed priorities for work within the Drone Coalition, as well as investments worth €400 million in the production of UAVs. Ukraine noted the importance of the Netherlands' support for the development of the Ukrainian defense industry and the need for partner investments to implement plans for 2025.

In his turn, Major General Arno Stallmann, Director of the Project Department for Support of Ukraine at the Ministry of Defense of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, thanked Ukraine for its experience in using technology on the battlefield, which allows the Netherlands to improve its products for the needs of the front line.

He added that the Netherlands will continue to support Ukraine, being one of the top 5 partner countries, and is ready to help as much as needed.
