Ukraine starts the first round of negotiations with Germany on bilateral security guarantees, as envisaged by the Joint Declaration on Supporting Ukraine, signed on July 12, 2023 in Vilnius. This was was reported on the website of the President's Office, according to UNN.

According to the information, the Ukrainian negotiating group was headed by Deputy Head of the Presidential Office Ihor Zhovkva.
During the talks, the parties exchanged views on approaches to future bilateral security guarantees, their format and content, and agreed on a plan of further actions.
