SpaceX lawyers have warned Elon Musk about futile attempts to obtain the highest level of security clearance from the Department of Homeland Security after the billionaire joins Donald Trump's administration. This is reported by The Guardian, according to UNN.

It is noted that even SpaceX's fulfillment of orders in the space industry does not give Musk the maximum level of access to state secrets. Oddly enough, the position of co-chair of the newly created Department of Government Efficiency is unlikely to change this.
The fact is that Musk does not meet several criteria for top-level security clearance. In particular, the Security Department fears that the billionaire may reveal American secrets to one of the world leaders with whom he is in constant communication - the list includes Russian dictator Putin.
Musk was also remembered for his participation in a podcast with Joe Rogan in 2018, where he smoked marijuana on air. The media attributed the businessman's use of other drugs, such as ketamine, LSD, ecstasy, and certain types of mushrooms. None of this is compatible with access to state secrets.
