Details
Foreign friends of Ukraine, for whom we are really proud. Estonian MP Kristo Ann Vaha today started a bicycle ride from Tallinn to Kyiv (approximate distance: 1700 km), which he plans to complete in 6 days.
It is known that 27-year-old Kristo Ann Varga became an MP only last year. He is a famous Estonian athlete. This public diplomacy project Ride for Victory! Tallinn to Kyiv", he says, has three main goals.
- First, to show that Russian aggression against Ukraine is taking place only a few thousand kilometers from Tallinn, i.e. "within a bicycle ride". The war is somewhere far away.
- Secondly, to urge Estonian society and the societies of other European countries to continue to provide humanitarian and financial assistance to Ukraine.
- Thirdly, to raise the necessary amount of money for a specific fundraiser to purchase off-road vehicles and drones for the SZG unit and the 79th Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Dmytro Kuleba thanked Christo for this act.
I am deeply grateful to Kristo and his friends who are traveling with him for this act. We perceive it as a manifestation of solidarity of the entire Estonian people, who are extremely friendly to the Ukrainian people. With such friends, we have faith in a quick victory.
