Details

As reported by Denik Sport editor Michal Kvasnica: "Spartak is showing concrete interest in Aziz Kayondo."

The Ugandan defender has been in the Czech Republic for two and a half years; in the first league, he has recorded 1 goal and 4 assists in 52 matches. The Russians want to sign him on a permanent basis, but an agreement with "Slovan" has not yet been reached

The interest in the player was confirmed by the club owner, Ondřej Kania.

I confirm the information from Denik Sport that three weeks ago, through one of the international agencies, we received information about interest from Russia in one of our players. This is not the first time in the last two years that this has happened. Clubs from all over Europe sell players to Russia. I would welcome such a transfer, as I would donate the entire income from such a sale to the Ukrainian embassy. Since the beginning of the war, my educational group Consilium has provided scholarships worth tens of millions of crowns to hundreds of Ukrainian students who moved to the Czech Republic and Croatia because of the war

- Kania said in a comment to Ruik.

Moscow's "Spartak" stated that they do not comment on the possible transfer of the player to the Russian club.
