The Asset Recovery and Management Agency (ARMA) tried so hard to sell the yacht of former traitor MP Viktor Medvedchuk that it even initiated an international meeting with ambassadors. However, the agency could not recall when it took place, UNN writes.
ARMA has recently been in the spotlight for the loss of the Royal Romance yacht owned by Medvedchuk. Despite the yacht's arrest by a Croatian court and its transfer to Ukraine for sale, ARMA has not been able to sell the asset in two years. After researching the topic, we found out that the main delay with the sale of this asset arose because the head of ARMA, Olena Duma, had been preparing amendments to the legislation for the sale of foreign assets for almost six months.
Agency of UNN asked ARMA to explain why the asset had not been sold in two years.
In response to the inquiry, the Asset Recovery and Management Agency assured that they had been doing everything possible to sell Medvedchuk's yacht all along, but had not managed to do so. However, the agency emphasizes that if the Croatian court gives them more time to sell the asset, they will definitely make it this time.
So, as the head of the ARMA, Olena Duma, has repeatedly stated, the agency did "titanic work" to sell (read not sell) the yacht.
In particular, despite the fact that the Croatian court's decision itself stated that the yacht should be transferred to ARMA for sale, the agency decided to obtain "confirmation from the authorities of the Republic of Croatia that there are no prohibitions or restrictions on the sale".
The ARMA notes that they have been sending numerous requests to Ukrainian state authorities, competent state authorities of foreign countries and international organizations, but for some reason this has not affected the sale of Medvedchuk's yacht.
ARMA employees also conducted a test drive of the vessel and made great efforts to raise the flag of Ukraine on the yacht, which in fact did not help sell it either, but these are details.
However, according to ARMA, Medvedchuk's lawyers were preventing them from raising the Ukrainian flag and putting spokes in the wheels. For this reason, the Asset Recovery and Management Agency (ARMA) initiated an international meeting.
The ARMA initiated an international meeting with the participation of the ambassadors of Croatia and Malaysia, representatives of the MFA of Ukraine and the OGP to resolve the situation. On such and such date, a meeting was held with the participation of these representatives, the agency provided documents and evidence, which resulted in a decision to amend the international register
It is not yet known "on what date" the meeting took place and what was discussed, but judging by the result, it definitely did not affect the quick sale of the yacht to ARMA.

Political analyst Viktor Bobirenko believesthat the delay in the sale of Medvedchuk's yacht by ARMA head Olena Duma cannot be ordinary negligence, but could be motivated by financial reward. And former MP Ihor Mosiychuk is surethat Olena Duma acted in the interests of pro-Russian politician Medvedchuk by delaying the sale of his yacht.
