A group of refugees from North Korea handed over leaflets and audio to Ukraine containing calls for the defection of the North Korean military, as well as instructions on how to do so. This is reported by Yonhap, UNN reports.
Details
It is noted that the propaganda leaflets were handed over to the Ukrainian Embassy in Seoul by the "Refugee Propaganda Corps", which includes former North Korean soldiers who defected to South Korea and those whose sons served in the DPRK army .
These leaflets are intended to be distributed to North Korean soldiers in Russia. They contain messages encouraging them to defect, as well as instructions on how to do so. Civil society activists have also passed on audio files with messages of the same content.
The North Korean defectors plan to hand over the same propaganda materials to the Ukrainian military in Brussels, along with a letter calling for the use of psychological warfare against DPRK soldiers.
The letter emphasizes that the Ukrainian military can ensure mass surrender and desertion of North Korean soldiers if they manage to launch a proactive psychological warfare.
