The State Bureau of Investigation has completed a pre-trial investigation into the leadership of one of the district Territorial Recruitment Centers (TRC) in the Ivano-Frankivsk region and three of its subordinates who humiliated and beat conscripts. This was reported by UNN with reference to the SBI.
Details
The investigation established two instances of torture of mobilized men. One conscript was beaten when he refused to undergo a chest X-ray. He was taken into a hospital corridor, where one of the suspects held him while another struck him on the head with a metal badge clenched in his fist.
After that, another serviceman struck the man several times in the liver area, attempting to intimidate him and force him to undergo the examination. Subsequently, he was brought to the TRC premises, where the beating continued. As a result of the beating, the man was diagnosed with a rib fracture and other bodily injuries,
In another instance, TRC employees forcibly held a man while the head of the TRC struck him.
At the same time, those holding the victim also beat him with their hands and feet. Afterward, they stripped him of his clothes, left him lying on a concrete floor, and later forcibly led him into the X-ray room. During the beating, the suspects also used a tear gas canister, spraying the victim in the face twice. Due to the injuries sustained, the man underwent a complex operation to remove one of his organs,
The detainees have been notified of suspicion under Part 3 of Art. 127 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – torture committed by a representative of the state. The sanction of the article provides for up to 12 years of imprisonment.

SBI employees, together with the National Police in the Lviv region, exposed the head of one of the district departments of the branch of the State Institution "Probation Center," who organized a scheme to receive money from conscripts for "assistance" in evading mobilization.
