Based on materials from the SBU, a man who directed strikes on Kharkiv in the summer of 2023 on orders from Russian special services has been sentenced to 15 years in prison. UNN reports this with reference to the Security Service of Ukraine.

The suspect came to the attention of Russian special services after publishing anti-Ukrainian posts in various Telegram channel chats. He turned out to be a local unemployed man recruited by the occupiers.
The perpetrator walked around the frontline city to identify, record and transmit to his Russian handler the geolocations of temporary bases of Ukrainian troops.
At the same time, he tried to track the location and technical condition of defense production facilities, railway stations and railcar depots. After being detained "red-handed," mobile phones and computer equipment containing evidence of cooperation with Russian special services were seized from him.
The court found the perpetrator guilty under Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (high treason committed under martial law).
