On May 2-3, the "NewRun Lviv Half Marathon" took place in Lviv. On the first day, children's races were held in the city, and today — the main distances for adults. Traditionally, the runners started from the Lviv Opera House, UNN reports with reference to the Lviv City Council.
The first to start were experienced athletes who set out to conquer the 21 km distance.
Participants also covered distances of 5 and 10 km. Veterans undergoing rehabilitation at the UNBROKEN center joined the symbolic 1 km race.
This year, the half marathon had an important charitable mission. A fundraiser was held as part of the event. The funds will be used to form the prize fund for the UNBROKEN Games, which will take place in Lviv at the end of May.
