In 23 regions of Ukraine and Kyiv, the nationwide special operation "Gentlemen-2026," aimed at combating drug trafficking, has concluded. Law enforcement officers conducted 435 searches, seized nearly 30,000 narcotic plants, over 170 kilograms of ready-made cannabis, and detained 34 individuals. This was reported by the Office of the Prosecutor General, as conveyed by UNN.

As part of the nationwide special operation "Gentlemen-2026," 435 searches were conducted in 23 regions and Kyiv. Nearly 30,000 narcotic plants, over 170 kg of ready-made cannabis, weapons, explosives, vehicles, and significant amounts of cash were seized. 34 individuals were detained, and 74 others were notified of suspicion
According to available data, the special operation lasted from June 22 to July 13, 2026, with the aim of identifying illegal crops of narcotic plants and stopping the activities of individuals and groups involved in the illegal cannabis trade.
During the searches, 16,644 cannabis plants, 12,988 opium poppy plants, and 172 kg of ready-made cannabis were seized. Additionally, 12 underground laboratories for growing narcotic plants in grow boxes and using hydroponic systems were liquidated. Special equipment for growing, packaging, and preparing narcotic products was seized
According to preliminary data, approximately 9.2 tons of drugs, or about 9 million doses, could have been produced from the seized plants, while their sale on the black market could have generated over 60 million hryvnias.
Furthermore, law enforcement officers seized vehicles, weapons, explosives, as well as 950,000 hryvnias, 12,000 euros, and 11,000 US dollars. In accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine, 34 individuals were detained. 74 suspects were notified of suspicion under Articles 307, 309, and 310 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. After the completion of expert examinations, the issue of notifying other participants of suspicion will be decided
