Koretsky and the new government took the oath in the Rada

Prime Minister Serhiy Koretsky and members of the Cabinet of Ministers took an oath of allegiance to the Ukrainian people. Koretsky was appointed to the position instead of Yulia Svyrydenko.

Prime Minister Serhiy Koretsky, whom the Verkhovna Rada appointed to the post, and members of the Cabinet of Ministers took an oath of allegiance to the Ukrainian people, UNN reports, citing a parliamentary session. 

I, Koretsky Serhiy Fedorovych, realizing the high responsibility of a member of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, solemnly swear allegiance to the Ukrainian people. I undertake to abide by the Constitution of Ukraine and the laws of Ukraine, to strengthen the sovereignty and independence of Ukraine, to uphold the rights and freedoms of man and citizen, to care for the welfare of the Ukrainian people, and for the sustainable democratic development of society

According to the law "On the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine," when forming a new composition of the government, the oath is read by the Prime Minister of Ukraine, and its text is signed by each member of the Cabinet. 

A member of the government assumes office from the moment they take the oath. The signed text of the oath by the Cabinet member is kept in their personal file.

The Verkhovna Rada on Thursday appointed Serhiy Koretsky, who heads NAK "Naftogaz of Ukraine," as the new Prime Minister of Ukraine, replacing Yulia Svyrydenko, who was dismissed from this position on Tuesday.
