The head of the Sumy Regional Prosecutor's Office, Oleksandr Panchenko, as the senior prosecutor of the group, reported suspicion to a 43-year-old man who had been cohabiting with and raping a 13-year-old girl for a long time. This was reported by the Sumy Prosecutor's Office, writes UNN.
It was established that the suspect met the child on social networks. Despite the girl immediately stating her age, the man continued to communicate with her and later invited her to move in with him in the Sumy region. During cohabitation, the man systematically raped the thirteen-year-old girl.
The girl's mother, who abused alcohol, only realized the disappearance of her minor daughter a few days later and contacted law enforcement. After that, the girl returned home for a while, but then again went to live with the suspect. Moreover, the girl's mother also came to this man, where they lived together for two days.
When law enforcement officers in Sumy became aware of the conditions under which the minor lived with an adult man, he was notified of suspicion under Article 152 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. However, before the pre-trial detention was chosen, the suspect managed to escape. He was declared wanted and detained. Since then, he has been in custody. The investigation also found that the man took pornographic photos of the minor and stored them for personal viewing.
Therefore, the man was notified of a new suspicion.
Currently, the girl has been removed from the family and is in an appropriate rehabilitation center. The issue of depriving her mother of parental rights is being resolved.
The suspect's actions are classified as child molestation for sexual purposes, committing acts of a sexual nature against a minor, regardless of her voluntary consent, manufacturing and storing child pornography (Part 3 of Article 156-1, Parts 4 and 6 of Article 152, Parts 1 and 3 of Article 301-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
