The Ministry for Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Development of Ukraine announced the start of developing new functionality for the eCherha system, which provides for expanding its use for passenger cars and updating capabilities for freight and passenger transport, UNN reports.
Separately, the implementation of functionality for passenger cars is supported by the project "Digitalization for Growth, Integrity and Transparency" (UK DIGIT), implemented by the Eurasia Foundation and funded by UK Dev. Within its framework, a service for registering for the electronic queue through the Diia application is being developed.
A key innovation will be the ability to book a place in the electronic queue for passenger cars. The service will be available through the Diia application, the website, and the eCherha mobile application.
This means that the electronic queue will be available not only to licensed carriers but also to citizens crossing the border with their own transport, including both Ukrainians and foreigners.
The update includes a number of additional features:
- automatic verification of the availability of a Green Card insurance policy when booking a place in the queue;
- queue booking for transit bus routes through Ukraine;
- the possibility of re-registering pendulum flights under the same permit number;
- a mechanism for replacing vehicles for irregular transportation;
- one-time use of documents for irregular transportation, including Interbus journal pages or permits;
- indication of customs documents T1 or TIR carnet with automatic verification of their validity;
- priority in the queue for certain categories of carriers, in particular for companies with AEO (Authorized Economic Operator) status;
- integration with the id.gov.ua system for electronic identification of passenger car users.
The contract for the development of new functionality has already been signed. The implementation of updates will take place in stages, depending on the priority of tasks and technical integration of systems.
The first planned launches are:
- streamlining the priority system in the queue for freight transport;
- booking a place for passenger cars;
- automatic verification of the availability of a "green card".
