Law enforcement officers in Transcarpathia exposed a functionary of a local religious organization who helped potential recruits "evade" mobilization on the grounds of pseudo-religious beliefs. UNN reports this with reference to the SBU office in the Transcarpathian region.

The man reportedly produced fictitious documents for his "clients" about their affiliation with a religious organization. This allowed recruits to avoid conscription because of their alleged "religious beliefs.
The cost of preparing the package of documents was 1.5 thousand US dollars.
He was detained while receiving money for another "fugitive". During searches at the man's place of residence, law enforcement officers found and seized fake documents and money received for "helping" fugitives.
The issue of serving him a notice of suspicion under Part 1 of Art. 114-1 (obstruction of the lawful activity of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other military formations in a special period) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine is being decided.
Other persons involved in the crime are currently being identified.
