In the Russian city of Aleksin, Tula Oblast, during an attack on August 5, one of the largest distribution centers of the Wildberries marketplace was hit. According to his data, it concerns a distribution center with an area of 194.5 thousand square meters, which was opened in 2022. The complex played a key role in the storage and distribution of goods for a number of regions of Central Russia.
The logistics hub provided service for the Tula, Kaluga, Oryol, Bryansk, Kursk, Lipetsk, Ryazan, and other adjacent regions. It also partially relieved the logistics centers of the Moscow region.
According to the published footage, the fire engulfed a significant or almost the entire area of the complex. There is currently no official information about the extent of the damage, possible casualties, or the cause of the fire.
