In the Kharkiv region, a police explosives technician was killed as a result of a Russian drone attack, and there are casualties. This was reported by the National Police, according to UNN.
According to preliminary information, on June 7, near the village of Chystovodivka in the Izium district, police officers were responding to a call to neutralize a discovered explosive object—specifically, an unidentified type of drone that had not detonated,
While the explosives technicians were working at the scene, an enemy UAV struck the law enforcement officers' service vehicle.
A police officer from the explosives service died on the spot from the impact. Three other members of the unit and a civilian were injured. An investigative-operational group, heads of the district department, and other specialized services immediately arrived at the scene.
All victims are receiving medical assistance.
Investigators are documenting the consequences of another war crime committed by Russian servicemen.
Based on this fact, information has been entered into the Unified Register of Pre-trial Investigations under Part 2 of Article 438 (war crimes) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
