In Sumy, as a result of Russian strikes on July 2, an educational institution for children was damaged. There were no pupils inside, but two female employees of the institution were injured - their condition is moderate. This was reported by UNN with reference to the heads of the city and regional military administrations, Serhiy Kryvosheienko and Oleh Hryhorov.

The educational institution is located in a residential area. The building sustained significant damage, as did the children's playground and nearby houses.
Russian occupiers dropped KABs on the city, one of which fell on a school. Two more aerial bombs hit infrastructure facilities.

Earlier, UNN reported that a Russian strike on Kyiv on the night of July 2 completely destroyed a warehouse of the Moyo electronics store chain.
In addition, it was reported that as a result of Russian attacks on July 2, there are new power outages in Kyiv, Donetsk, Kharkiv and Zaporizhzhia regions. The largest number of consumers remained without electricity in the Sumy region.
