In the Podilsk district of Odesa Oblast, a man driving a car damaged structures with portraits of the fallen on the Alley of Heroes and collided with other vehicles. This was reported by the Main Directorate of the National Police in Odesa Oblast, UNN reports.
Details
The incident occurred on April 25 during the day on the Alley of Glory in the city of Balta. Eyewitnesses informed the police about the event.
As law enforcement officers established, a 52-year-old VAZ car driver lost control while driving. According to him, he felt ill and lost control of the vehicle. After that, the car ran into structures with portraits of the fallen heroes and also collided with two other vehicles.
A check for intoxication showed that the driver was sober. He was examined by medics. At the time of the examination, the man did not require medical assistance.
As a result of the road traffic accident, no one was injured. The driver's vehicle was seized and placed on an impound lot. An administrative protocol was drawn up against the man under Art. 124 of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses (violation of traffic rules that caused property damage)
They added that the case materials have already been sent to the court. The violator faces a fine or deprivation of the right to drive vehicles.
