It is noted that one of the attackers got into the back seat as soon as the owner of the car opened the door, pulled out a knife and began stabbing him. At the same time, another attacker was stabbing the car owner from the street, approaching the driver's door. People who were in the parking lot at the time noticed the victim's scream, so the attackers fled without taking the car.
They were later detained. They are two men aged 19 and 21, one from Donetsk region and the other from Zakarpattia. It was established that they lived in a hostel in the capital and planned to earn money for a trip abroad by stealing a car.
Under the procedural supervision of the Sviatoshyno District Prosecutor's Office, two men were served a notice of suspicion of committing a robbery with the intent to seize a car, combined with the use of violence dangerous to life or health (Part 4 Article 187 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
