In Kyiv, from June 29, a ban on the movement of trucks weighing more than 24 tons was introduced at temperatures of +28°C. Drivers are advised to wait out the heat at parking lots.

On Monday, June 29, Kyiv introduced restrictions on freight traffic to preserve road surfaces. This was reported by UNN citing the Patrol Police of Ukraine.

Details

The ban applies to vehicles with a gross weight of over 24 tons and an axle load of over 7 tons. Additionally, freight vehicles are prohibited from moving when the air temperature is +28 degrees Celsius or higher.

Law enforcement officials advise truck drivers to wait out the hot period at temporary parking areas in road rights-of-way and near roadside service facilities.

Reminder

On state roads in Ukraine during periods of rising air temperatures, seasonal traffic restrictions for heavy vehicles have been introduced.
