In Kyiv, a man threatened police with a grenade during a search of a garage. Weapons and drugs were seized from him, and the suspect was remanded in custody for 60 days.

In Kyiv, during a search conducted as part of an investigation into drug laboratory activities, a man began threatening law enforcement officers with a grenade. After negotiations, he was detained, and during investigative actions in a garage facility, an arsenal of weapons and narcotic substances were discovered. This was reported by the Kyiv City Prosecutor's Office, according to UNN.

Law enforcement officers arrived to search one of the garages as part of criminal proceedings regarding the operation of drug laboratories. Upon seeing the police special forces officers, the man began threatening to use a live grenade. However, he was persuaded not to do so.

During the subsequent search of the garage box, two F-1 hand fragmentation grenade bodies and two fuses for them, an AKS-74 assault rifle, a Fort-19 pistol, a bayonet-knife for an AK-74, a large quantity of ammunition of various calibers, as well as 12 g of a substance resembling amphetamine, a bag of cannabis, electronic scales, and containers with drug residue were seized. All seized items have been sent for forensic examination.

Under the procedural guidance of the Darnytsia District Prosecutor's Office of Kyiv, a 45-year-old resident of the capital was notified of suspicion of threatening violence against a law enforcement officer and illegal possession of ammunition.

A preventive measure was chosen for him — detention for 60 days without the right to bail.
