The guys were exposed "in hot pursuit". They turned out to be two residents of the community, who were remotely recruited by the invaders through Telegram channels to search for quick earnings.
To remotely detonate explosives , the young men used explosives that were disguised as a thermos flask and lay in a cache in the Kiev region.
According to the instructions of the invaders, to increase the striking effect of the explosion, the young men filled the explosive device with nuts and bolts.
"Near the administrative building where the explosion was supposed to take place, the attackers secretly installed a mobile phone to broadcast the explosion in real time," the SBU added.
According to the SBU, all the actions of the terrorists were led by a representative of the special services of the Russian Federation, who disguised himself as a girl's account and promised money in case of completing an enemy task. However, the defendants did not receive" guaranteed " funds from Russia, the SBU said.
During the searches, mobile phones and other evidence of subversive activities in favor of the aggressor country were seized from them.
SBU investigators informed the detainees of suspicion under Part 2 of Article 258 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (terrorist act). Now they face up to 12 years in prison for committing a particularly serious crime.
