An accident occurred during an excursion in the village of Vyženka, Chernivtsi region. A wooden bridge over a river collapsed when a group of children stepped onto it simultaneously. This was reported by the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Chernivtsi region, according to UNN.

As a result of the incident, several children sustained injuries of varying severity and have since been taken to a medical facility. Rescuers were not dispatched to the scene.
Following the incident, the State Emergency Service reminded the public of the importance of following safety rules during excursions, walks, and recreation, and urged adults to constantly remind children about safe behavior.
In particular:
- do not create excessive loads on bridges and other structures;
- follow warning signs and restrictions;
- do not push or crowd in one place;
- follow the instructions of accompanying persons during excursions and recreation;
– always assess potential risks before taking photos or videos in unusual locations.
