The head of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Finance, Taxation and Customs Policy, Danylo Hetmantsev, tried to force the tax authorities to charge VAT on Concorde's banking services, which are not subject to taxation by law. This is stated in a video published by Olena Sosedka, UNN reports.
"After the liquidation of the bank began, the chairman of the Verkhovna Rada's tax committee, Danylo Hetmantsev, intervened. He demanded that the tax service impose far-fetched fines on Concorde: first for UAH 400 million, and later for UAH 10 billion. Hetmantsev determined the amount of fines to be imposed on Concorde before the tax audit was completed. The tax authorities followed his instructions and tried to charge the bank UAH 400 million in fines. They decided to tax banking services, which are legally exempt from VAT. Therefore, this is a violation of the law," reads the videoposted on Olena Sosedka's Facebook page.
At the same time, even the bank's liquidator, appointed by the Deposit Guarantee Fund, disagreed with this illegal tax audit act and challenged the document. Therefore, an additional audit was ordered, which, according to Olena and Yulia Sosedok, is still ongoing, although according to the law, it should have been completed by now.
However, according to them, Hetmantsev is doing everything to delay the inspection and "find at least some grounds for charging huge fines."
According to Olena and Yulia Sosiedok, Hetmantse has a personal dislike for them, and therefore is trying to destroy their life's work. In particular, they recalled that the MP had publicly insulted them by calling them "not Ukrainians.
"His actions set a dangerous precedent for Ukraine's banking sector. Even the liquidator of Concorde, appointed by the Deposit Guarantee Fund, is aware of this. He is ready to demand in the courts that the bank's liquidation procedure be carried out in accordance with the law. Tomorrow, any other financial institution may find itself in the same situation. This undermines trust in regulators and threatens the stability of the country's economy. Although Concord cannot be brought back to the market, its story is a lesson and a warning for the entire financial system of Ukraine," warned Olena and Yulia Sosiedko in the video.
Recall
Hetmantsev called the shareholders of Concord Bank, which is in the process of liquidation, "non-Ukrainians" and gave instructions to persecute them during a committee meeting.
