Ukraine has already harvested more than 28.5 million tons of newly harvested grains and oilseeds, and 5 regions have completed the harvest of early grains and legumes, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy reported on Friday, UNN reports.

"As of the beginning of August, 25,291.8 million tons of grain and more than 3,236.3 million tons of oilseeds have been harvested. In general, the new harvest was threshed on an area of more than 7,301.6 thousand hectares, with a total harvest of 28,528.1 thousand tons," the statement said.
Agrarians in Poltava, Odesa, Kherson, Kirovograd and Cherkasy regions have completed harvesting early grain and legumes, as indicated.
As of today, according to the Ministry of Agrarian Policy, it has already been collected:
- wheat - threshed on an area of 4,465.8 thousand hectares, harvested 19,440.7 thousand tons;
- barley - 1,294.1 thousand hectares were threshed, with a harvest of 4,819.8 million tons;
- peas - threshed on an area of 205.7 thou hectares, harvested 451.6 thou tons.
- Rapeseed - 1,195.5 thou hectares threshed, 3,236.3 mln tons harvested.
Grain harvesting is led by farmers in Odesa region, where 1064.9 thou hectares were threshed. Khmelnytsky region is the leader in terms of yield with 65 c/ha.
Farmers in Dnipropetrovs'k, Kharkiv and Kherson regions have started harvesting buckwheat and millet.
