President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy congratulated Ukrainians on the New Year and wished them strength, unity and inspiration, and called 2024 "won and free," UNN reports.
"This is our 2024. Every day of it has been won by our soldiers, all our people, each and every one of them who protects, works, strengthens and helps.
The work and courage, humanity and integrity of the entire nation filled this year. It was also filled with care, development and love, the desire to change the reality for the better despite everything," the President noted.
According to him, Ukrainians know what it is like "not to wait for what tomorrow will bring, but to fight for every day and every year of freedom.
"And 2024 was just that - a year of victory and freedom. Another step towards justice, towards an honest peace, towards our victory, towards a life without war. I wish us all strength, unity and inspiration in the new year. Happy New Year of life and freedom, happy New Year!" - the Head of State summarized.
