The General Staff added that General Oleksandr Syrskyi continues to perform his duties as Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Andrii Hnatov, also continues to perform his functional duties.
Dismissal from these positions occurs on the basis of a Decree of the President of Ukraine, the General Staff summarized.
Context
Earlier, information appeared that General Oleksandr Syrskyi had allegedly already been dismissed from the post of Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
People's Deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak reported that his sources confirm the information and added that news regarding the possible resignation of Syrskyi may appear after the meeting of the Staff, which is scheduled for 16:30.
