- the statement said.

Details

It is noted that due to massive Russian shelling, there is a capacity shortage in the power system. Over the past day, to partially cover it, Ukraine additionally attracted emergency assistance from the Polish power system, and today it is planned to do so from Poland and Slovakia.

As of today, the hourly outage schedules are planned to be in effect from 0:00 to 24:00. If the situation changes, the information will be updated.

The weather is hot in Ukraine, so electricity consumption may increase, in particular due to the active use of air conditioners.

The Ministry of Energy urged everyone to consume electricity sparingly. This enables power engineers to keep the grid more stable. No blackouts are foreseen for critical infrastructure companies and companies that import more than 80% of their electricity needs in accordance with a government decree.

CONSEQUENCES OF SHELLING

In Dnipropetrovs'k region, an overhead power line was disconnected due to hostilities, which led to a power outage at a substation and household consumers. Later, the line was disconnected again due to a fire, which caused a power outage for household consumers and an industrial enterprise, as well as disruption of the technological process. The causes are being investigated.

NETWORK STATUS

A high-voltage overhead line was disconnected twice in Kyiv region. The reason was damage on the section that runs through the territory of Belarus (after February 24, 22, Ukrainian power engineers have no access to its maintenance).

In the western region, a high-voltage overhead line was shut down due to a fire caused by heat. The fire was extinguished and the line was brought back online.

At night, a high-voltage substation went down. This led to a blackout of the overhead line connecting the power systems of Ukraine and Moldova. Due to the heat, a fire broke out at the substation and was extinguished.

In Chernihiv region, an overhead line was briefly disconnected, which led to a power outage at a substation, household consumers and local industry. Everyone was supplied with power.

A high-voltage overhead line in Zhytomyr region was shut down for technological reasons, which led to a power outage at several substations, household consumers, local industry, and a renewable energy facility. All consumers were supplied with electricity.

In Dnipropetrovs'k region, equipment at a substation was shut down due to technological failures, which led to a power outage for household consumers and a water utility. All consumers have been supplied with electricity.

In the evening, a high-voltage overhead line was disconnected in Zhytomyr region, which led to a power outage at several substations and household consumers. All consumers were supplied with power via a backup scheme.

POWER OUTAGE FOR CONSUMERS

As of this morning, 490 settlements remain without electricity due to the hostilities and technical violations. Power engineers have supplied electricity to 4,264 consumers who were cut off as a result of hostilities.

IMPORT/EXPORT

For the current day, imports from Poland, Slovakia, Romania, Hungary, and Moldova are forecasted to total 28,462 MWh with a maximum capacity of 1,445 MW. No exports are taking place and are not expected.
