Andrej Danko, a coalition partner of Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico in parliament and leader of the Slovak National Party (SNS), has criticized the head of government for supporting Ukraine's accession to the European Union and for his conversation with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. This is reported by Dennik N, according to UNN.
Details
According to the politician, the SNS does not support the position that Ukraine should join the EU.
"I want to express my disappointment with what Robert Fico sometimes says and does,"
He noted that Ukrainians "can finance some political parties" in Slovakia, so the Prime Minister needs to "think about what to do about it" rather than talking to Zelenskyy on the phone.
"What is happening on the Russian-Ukrainian border could happen anywhere in Europe in an instant," the SNS leader added.
Recall
The day before, Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico, after a conversation with President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, stated that Slovakia supports Kyiv's ambitions to join the EU, as it wants Ukraine to be "a stable and democratic country as our neighbor."
