The Sviatoshynskyi District Court of Kyiv extended the pre-trial restraint in the form of detention until June 2, 2024. This was reported by UNN with reference to Suspilne.

Tandyr is accused of committing a fatal car accident while under the influence of alcohol on May 26, which resulted in the death of National Guard soldier Vadym Bondarenko. Thus, after May 27, the second year of the accused's detention will begin. He is currently in a pre-trial detention center.
The lawyers of Judge Oleksiy Tandyr appealed to the court to release their client from custody.
The court denied the defense's motion to mobilize the suspect. And left Tandir in the pre-trial detention center for another two months - until June 2.
Addendum
After the imposition of a preventive measure, it was planned to continue questioning witnesses, but due to the absence of Tandir's lawyer, Iryna Bovnegra, the court hearing was postponed to April 17, 2024.
Tandir faces up to 10 years in prison.
Recall
On the night of May 26, Judge Oleksiy Tandyr, head of the Makariv District Court of Kyiv Region, ran over a National Guard officer to his death at a checkpoint in the capital. The judge was detained on the spot.
The Kyiv City Prosecutor's Office reported to UNN that it had launched an investigation under Part 3 of Article 286-1 of the Criminal Code (Violation of the rules of road safety or operation of transport by persons driving vehicles while intoxicated, which led to the death of the victim).
At a meeting on May 27 , the High Council of Justice granted the Deputy Prosecutor General's request for consent to the judge's detention. Judge Tandyr was sent to custody for two months.
The judge himself claims that he was not drunk, but was in a state of shock after the accident.
