As Russia puts forward new nuclear threats, Recep Tayyip Erdogan also warned against any war with the use of nuclear weapons.

He spoke at a press conference at the end of the two-day G20 summit in Brazil.

Asked by Sky News if he supported U.S. action, if he believed it could lead to a direct confrontation with Moscow, even a nuclear war, the Turkish president said: "We can never say that a war in which nuclear weapons are used can lead to anything positive.

Speaking through an interpreter, Erdogan continued: "Recently, the missiles used by Ukraine are also a sign of potential or possible consequences. This is not a positive development.
