This year, however, the effect has become exponential.
According to Taboola, Musk has been ahead of his closest colleagues, Jeff Bezos and Mark Zuckerberg, for years, but the gap widened dramatically in 2024.
From January 1 to November 12 of this year, 1.03 billion users viewed articles about Musk, which is 120% more than in 2023 and 528% more than in 2022.
Other CEOs are also being written about more, but their annual growth rates are not even close to Musk's.
According to Taboola, this year's traffic to stories about Musk is almost three times higher than the total traffic to the next nine most-read CEOs combined.
