Ecuador has joined a group of countries that will cooperate with the U.S. Agency for International Development USAID and the government of Ukraine to develop e-government, UNN reports with reference to the Voice of America.
In a video message, USAID Administrator Samantha Power called the Ukrainian e-app "Diia" a "success story" that shows that "Ukrainians are not only protecting the future of democracy, but also bringing democracy into the future."
"Action is showing democracies everywhere how we can use technology to deliver vital services more equitably and more efficiently than ever, thereby reducing opportunities for corruption and connecting government more closely to citizens," Power said in her address to the Action Summit in Kyiv.

During the summit, U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Bridget Brink also announced the expansion of USAID's work in Ukraine, in particular in creating "digital ecosystems and supporting economic growth, transparent recovery, and e-services for citizens and businesses that support anti-corruption measures," USAID said.
The agency emphasized that electronic access to public services has become even more important "after Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, and Diia was also used to support temporarily displaced Ukrainians and those affected by the war."
