The series "Dune: The Prophecy" has been renewed for a second season, which became known only a few days before the first season finale on HBO and Max, UNN writes with reference to NME.

Set 10 000 years before Denis Villeneuve's Dune, the prequel series explores the origins of Bene Hesserit, a secret coven of powerful and cunning witches who pull the strings of politics on Arrakis behind the scenes.
It is inspired by the novel The Sisterhood of the Dune, the first of a trilogy of prequels to The Great Dune Schools, written by Brian Herbert, son of Dune author Frank. The younger Herbert wrote the book with Kevin J. Anderson and released it in 2012. The next novels were The Mentats of Dune (2014) and The Navigators of Dune (2016).
